Gliding on Destiny's Wings

    The sun was streaked through peach colored curtains and spalshed onto a waterfall of honey colored locks. A girl stood leaning against the frame of the window with a gold locket clutched to her hands. She gazed at a magnificient garden with an array of flowers. In solem solitude she began to weep engulfed by her painful memories.

"Heero don't walk away from your heart. Listen to me, leaving isn't going to help you get anywhere." Relena shouted.
Heero looked at her with not even the slightest bit of emotion. His eyes were as cold as an arctic wind. Heero took her hand and put a gold hearted locket in her palm.
"Heero I demand that you stay here. Do you hear me Yuy?" she shouted as she tried to hold back the swelling of tears in her eyes.
"Heero.....I can't live without you. It hurts....Heero being away from you hurts like a millions knives cutting my heart to pieces. Please Heero....I love...you," she said forcefully.
"Relena," he said with his eyes gazing to hers "I only wish that I could say the same." With that he jumped ou the window towards Wing Zero.

    Thinking about how cold and emotionless he was made her shiver although it was almost summer. She decided to go for a walk knowing that if she were to stay there she would only bring more pain unto herself. She threw a pastel pink cartigane over her white tank top. She changed her Sanq Kingdom uniform pants with a matching pink tennis skirt. She took the locket and hooked it around her neck.
    Entering the hallway of her mansion she quietly closed the door with only a light click. She put her hand against the wall for some support having lost so much energy by not eating. She made quick little leaps when running down the stairs. She knew if she wanted any chance of leaving the estate she would have as silent as a panther.
    When she got to the door she went to touch the knob a hand grabbed her wrist. She shot her head up and met a pair of emerald green eyes. Trowa. To her surprise she saw shock written all over his face.
    "Trowa. I....I was going out for a bit. Would you like to go with me?" she said biting her lower lip.
    Trowa nodded and said that the circus was in town if she'd like to go see. She agreed and they headed north. They reached the large tents and cages filled with all kinds of exotic animals. Trowa tugged on her shoulder cocking his head towards the lion cages.
    When they walked in she gently patted a lioness's head and sat beside it. She kept a certain pace shen she stroked the lion. Trowa watched in amazement that the lion had not attacked her. Trowa leaped towards the area and sat besides Relena. Three male lions huddled around them in a protective manner as if helping them get privacy.
    "Trowa...I couldn't help but notice that you were surprised when you grabbed my wrist," she said in a questioning manner.
    "You were already so gaunt when I grabbed your wrist it was half the size it was about 3 months ago," Trowa answered.
    Relena only shrugged and brought her knees to her chest and rested her head on them. She let a sigh not realizing how loud it was. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and opened them feeling a pair of eyes preying on her. Tension filled the air and she was frightened. She neared herself to Trowa.
    "Are you okay?" Trowa spoke.
    "I feel like we're being watched....looked at as if we are their prey," she merely whispered.
    Trowa cocked his head all the way around to see a gun pointed right between his eyes. He almost gasped not suspecting it. Looking around frantically he realized that the lions were sadated and all fell asleep. His eyes relaxed and then he smirked.
    The man holding the gun had short hair like quatre's except it was black. He smiled a smile that sent chills down Relena's spine. He was tall and had sharp features. He moved his eyes to Relena who was breathing rather loudly. He laughed and eyed her from head to toe.
    "Why hello Miss Relena. Remember me? We met at Twaskinani High? Tokiya Wanataski.Your more beautiful then I had realized," he smirked.
    "I don't recall knowing you," she responded confused.
    "I was introduced to you by your friend Dororthy. You never cared much about it, but i did," he shouted knocking out Trowa with his knee. Then he poised his gun at Relena.
    Out of no where the cage door flung open as the rest of the gundam piolts piled in. Heero already enraged had heard everything. Duo, Quatre and Wufei looked at Trowa who had expertly been knocked out.
    Relena was caught up in the moment and rose to her weary feet. No one made a sound. Now all the pilot's attentions were drawn to Relena. They were upset seeing that she had lost so much weight. Heero looked up and down at her in disapointment. Relena just stared at him and was lost in her mind again. Tokiya raised his gun and struck Relena in the back of her head. Her body stood still until she collapsed into Tokiya's arms. He took her and ran to a helicopter that was waiting in the back and flew off. By the time the the gundams tried to stop them they were being attacked by Tokiya's well trained soldiers. One by one all of the gundams were pinned down. Heero tried his best to keep the rest of the soldiers away but there were more than twenty waiting for his next move. Then one from behind knocked him out with a bat. The pilots were all dragged to the base site in the middle of no where.
    Each of the pilots woke up trying not to scream in pain caused by their downfall. They looked each other knowing that they needed to find Relena. But they didn't need to. She was there with them in small cell. They tried to get to her but they were chained, and so was she.
They noticed her clothes here tattered and covered by her own blood. She sat in silence when the door was opened and three men walked in.walked in. Tokiya grabbed a hold of her hair and tilted her head back.
    "Don't touch her!" Duo growled.
    Then he smiled and looked back at Relena and licked her cheek. He laughed and sent the other two away and touched Relena's leg, stroking it from the knee and up. She tried to snap at him and throw him off but her energy was drained.
    "When I'm out of these chains I promise you eternal damnation!" Trowa sneered.
    He began to tare her clothes. She kicked him in the face. For that he stopped and slapped her constantly. He took out a whip and walked towards her, while she ran to the corner desperately trying to get her handcuffs off.
    "You asshole get away from her or I shall make you wish you were still in your mother's womb,"Wufei snapped.
    Tokiya turn his stance around and raised his whip to strike Wufei when Relena jumped in front and shielded him from danger. She screamed in anguish. She lay partly on Wufei's lap and began to weep in silence as she saw Tokiya bring his hand to her once again.
    "....Relena...." Wufei whispered still in shock of her bravery.
    Tokiya dragged her almost lifeless body in front for the pilots to feast their eyes upon. He began to beat her. Punching her in the gut in a merciless fashion. Constantly striking her. Over and over for almost over an hour. It was a short hour of discipline but for Relena a long hour of hell was laid upon her.
    "Relena!!!!" Quatre shouted in unison with Trowa.
    Wufei and Duo sat in complete and utter shock thinking about how painful it must have been for her. Relena forced a weak smile at all of the pilots.
    "Quatre, my dear friend promise me that you will take care and get out of this place," she  said coughing up blood.
    "Duo, keep that sunshine smile of yours always," sh whispered.
    Duo and Quatre nodded fighting back the tears that were daring to fall.
    "Trowa I only wish that we could have been better friends in such a short period....of time,"tears trickling down her face.
    "AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!" he screamed. "Relena don't act like this! Your not going to give up!!!"
    She finally gazed upon her perfect soldier. She sighed in relief and smiled once again. Using all her strength she knelt up and began to crawl towards him when Tokiya disgusted by this act of kindness kicked her. With that she was flung right besides Heero. She only had her last breath of air and she whispered into his ear "Heero I want you to meet your...our daughter." She placed his hand on her belly. She continued "I only wish that I could have lived longer than this to bring your daughter to life. I'm sorry I failed. Soon all the years of pain won't seem to matter. I'll be in heaven with our daughter and we'll be waiting for you." With that she closed her eyes.
    Heero saw sparkles in his eyes and felt the warm tears invade his emotionless face. He cried for the first time. He looked down and began to sob. He pulled with all of his might and the chains broke free. He rose to his feet and grabbed the fleeing Tokiya.
    "Omae o korosu."
    Heero took out his pocket knife and stabbed the man in his head. He turned to his friends and released them from the chains. He picked up Relena's lifeless form and took her to the gundam.
    The funeral had ended and Heero stood at the foot of his lover's and his child's grave. He placed a rose atop of the tombstone and he said a silent prayer.
    "I'll be seeing you soon ne?" Heero drew a gun from his jacket and put it to his temple. The sound of a gun shot rang all across the graveyard and birds fluttered aways. Heero lay beside Relena's grave and shed a single tear before saying his last words.
    "This is what it is. This is gliding on destiny's wings."
